Terms of Service

Last updated October 13, 2026

These terms apply to the web hosting, domain, and related services (“Services”) provided by Williamsburg Computer Tech, LLC (“we”, “us”) at wbctwebhosting.com. By ordering or using a Service, you agree to these terms. If you’re ordering for a business, you agree to them on its behalf.

1. Your account

  • Keep your account details accurate and your passwords private. You’re responsible for everything that happens under your account, including on websites and email accounts you host with us.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to order a Service.
  • Tell us right away through the client portal if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.

2. Billing

  • Services are billed in advance for the billing period you choose (for example monthly or yearly). Prices are shown on our website and in the client portal. A one-time setup fee may apply to new hosting orders.
  • Services renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Invoices are issued through the client portal.
  • If an invoice isn’t paid by its due date, we may suspend the Service until it is paid, and may terminate it if it remains unpaid.
  • We may change prices with notice before your next renewal. The new price applies from that renewal.

3. Cancellations and refunds

  • You can cancel a Service at any time by submitting a cancellation request in the client portal.
  • When you cancel, the Service stays active until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for, and then ends. Payments already made, including setup fees, are not refunded.
  • Domain registrations can’t be refunded once registered, because the registration is purchased from the registry on your behalf.
  • Before your Service ends, download any website files, databases, and email you want to keep. After it ends, your data may be deleted and can’t be recovered.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the Services, or allow others to use them, to:

  • break any law, or host or link to content that is illegal;
  • infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, or other rights;
  • send spam or unsolicited bulk email, or host sites advertised that way;
  • distribute malware, run phishing or fraud sites, or attack, scan, or try to break into other systems;
  • host content that exploits or harms minors, or that threatens or harasses others;
  • use server resources in a way that harms our servers or other customers (for example crypto mining, or processes that overload shared resources).

Plan limits such as storage, bandwidth, and email accounts are listed with each plan. If you go over them, or your account affects other customers, we’ll contact you, and may ask you to upgrade or reduce your usage. We may suspend or remove content or Services that break these rules, without notice where needed to protect our systems or others.

5. Your content and backups

  • You own the content you host with us, and you’re responsible for it. You give us permission to store, copy, and serve it as needed to provide the Services.
  • Keep your own copies of your website, databases, and email. Any backups we make are a convenience to help us run the Services, not a guarantee that your data can be restored.
  • Website migration help is provided on a best-effort basis. You remain responsible for keeping a copy of your site while it is moved.

6. Domains

Domain names are registered through third-party registrars and are subject to their terms and the rules of the domain’s registry, including requirements to keep accurate contact details. Renew domains on time: an expired domain may be lost and could become available to others.

7. Availability and support

We work to keep the Services running and secure, but we don’t guarantee they will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may carry out maintenance, which may cause short interruptions. Support is provided through the client portal.

8. Third-party services

Some Services, such as SSL certificates, email security, SiteLock, 360 Monitoring, and NordVPN, are provided by other companies and are also subject to their terms.

9. Liability

The Services are provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data, or lost business, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the affected Service in the three months before the claim.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version on this page with a new “last updated” date, and for significant changes we’ll let customers know by email or in the client portal. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States.
