Privacy Policy
Last updated October 13, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Williamsburg Computer Tech, LLC (“we”, “us”) collects through wbctwebhosting.com and our client portal, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account and billing details you give us when you order or create an account: your name, company, address, email address, and phone number.
- Payment information. Card and PayPal payments are handled by our payment processors. We receive confirmation of the payment, and may keep limited details such as the card type and last four digits, but not your full card number.
- Domain registration details. Registering a domain requires contact details that we pass to the domain registrar, which may publish some of them in public domain records (WHOIS) as the registry requires.
- Support messages you send us, and our replies.
- Technical information recorded automatically when you visit our website or client portal, such as your IP address, browser, and the pages you request, kept in our server logs.
Our website doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. The client portal uses cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember your shopping cart.
How we use it
- To provide, bill for, and support the Services you order.
- To contact you about your account, invoices, renewals, maintenance, and security.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to keep our servers and customers secure.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it to send you third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
Only with companies that help us provide the Services, such as payment processors, domain registrars, and the providers of add-on services you order, and only as needed for them to do that. We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.
Your websites and email
We store the websites, databases, and email you host with us so we can provide the Services. We don’t look at that content except when needed to provide support you ask for, keep our systems secure, investigate abuse, or meet a legal requirement. If your website collects information from your own visitors, you’re responsible for how it handles that information.
How long we keep it
We keep account and billing records while you’re a customer and afterwards for as long as needed for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. Hosted content is deleted after a Service ends, as described in our Terms of Service.
Security
We protect your information with measures such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and keeping our software up to date. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password for your account.
Your choices
You can review and update your details in the client portal at any time. To ask for a copy of your information, or for it to be corrected or deleted (where we don’t need to keep it), open a support ticket.
Children
Our Services are for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new “last updated” date, and let customers know about significant changes.
